  • 1/1/2012: The World Peace Clock is now operational! Meeting with the President in 30 minutes to commemorate this momentous occasion and to look forward to many years of uninterrupted ticks! - Yard
  • 1/1/2012: Just as I was about to shake Obama's hand, the Clock Reset Alarm sounded. Then, he quickly jerked his hand up as if to stroke his hair. I have momentarily excused myself from the ceremony to fix whatever caused the clock to reset so soon... obviously a bug. - Yard
  • 1/1/2012: Still investigating... Obama took-off... said he had a meeting. - Yard
  • 1/1/2012: My appearance at the UN has been postponed due to scheduling conflicts. They said, "we'll call you." Cool, I'll have more time to practice my speech. - Yard
  • 1/1/2012: It appears that there are some individuals resetting the clock without good cause and thus we have some peace-destroying defectives in our world after all. If you are a malfunctioning peace-destroying defective, please do NOT reset the clock just for kicks because... well, on the other hand, the world is obviously not at peace since you are in it. Ah, do whatever you want... - Yard
  • 2/4/2012: Adding hours, minutes, and seconds to the clock for obvious reasons. - Yard
  • 8/27/2012: It's clear to me now that this website is slightly ahead of it's time. I'm taking a vacation back to the front porch to watch the grass grow. I'm leaving the clock to everyone to use to rant-n-rave about whatever suits their fancy. Peace. - Yard

Resetting the World Peace Clock (Please read first!)

Dear Earth citizen, if, by some unfortunate hand of fate, you or someone you know experienced a peace-interrupting event perpetrated by a malfunctioning peace-destroying defective, you may reset the World Peace Clock, thus alerting the world that our Age of Peace is over. This will surely be The Day the Earth Stood Still®. But, take solace my friend in knowing that the world will shed a tear for you as together we mourn the passing of our golden Age of Peace.

Note: The World Peace Clock should only be reset for bona fide peace-interrupting incidents excluding "acts of God" or other accidents. Examples of non-qualifying peace-interrupting incidents include, but are not limited to:

  • Acid indigestion
  • A tree fell on you
  • Your carrots touched your mashed potatoes†
  • You dropped your ice cream on the ground*

(Click with care!)
